Chemical nickel

Chemical nickel is a nickel-phosphor corrosion protection coating on the chain.
The corrosion protection is due to the high corrosion resistance of nickel. Furthermore the chemical-nickel-method offers an improvement of the resistance against wear because of the high intrinsic hardnes of the coating.
